Ghost Ship is inspired by one of Adnams’ most haunted pubs in one of the UK’s most haunted villages, the Bell at Walberswick. The shores of Walberswick are littered with eerie wrecks of smuggling ships from a bygone era.
A ghostly pale ale inspired by the eerie wrecks of old smuggling ships along the Suffolk coast, this ghostly pale ale has a good assertive pithy bitterness with a Marley backbone and a lemon and lime aroma. Coming in at a mild 4.5% this is a mass produced session beer.
With a good hint of Belgian cloudy orange beer style taste, this is an IPA trying to be different, just not sure it hits the mark, in my opinion. Will partner good with game I’m sure, one to tick off the list and one I won’t go out of my way to come back to as there are plenty more beers out there, an OK beer if there ever is one, this is it.
