BADGER – HOPPING HARE

HALL & WOODHOUSE

HOPPING HARE

4th November 2016 – Review by Andy

The sprightly spring hare is reflected in this uplifting beer. Thrice hopped during the brewing process, aromatic Goldings and Cascade hops provide a distinctive citrus character for a refreshing and well-balanced beer. Terrific with spicy Thai dishes and roast lamb. We’ve been brewing in the heart of Dorset since 1777.

THE TASTE

Described as a spring fruity beer, this Badger beer is very light in colour very much a slightly darker version of a blonde beer in appearance.

The taste is very fresh, citrusy flavours are in there and at 4.4% it is definitely one you could stick on the ‘session’ list. Would you want to drink it all night though? Yeah, I would happily sink a few of these, a very palatable pint, that I wouldn’t get quickly bored with, refreshing and pleasant.

THE VERDICT

If you like your drinks on the light side, towards the blonde spectrum of your ales, then give this a try, it’s great to sup and one that would really hit the spot on a roasting summers day. Go give this a whirl – it certainly shouldn’t offend.
