Review by Rob & Andy
Timothy Taylor says… The Brewers’ Favourite. Named after one of our favourite local pubs, Boltmaker is a well-balanced Yorkshire Bitter that was awarded Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 2014.
A well-balanced, genuine Yorkshire Bitter, with a full measure of maltiness and hoppy aroma – Boltmaker is first choice for the discerning drinker – on both sides of the Pennines.
Not much of an initial aroma, but a full bodied flavour that tastes like a good solid pint, brewed very much as a session beer this, with a very hoppy taste.
Tastes a touch like grapefruit, with its slight sharpness and there is a citrusy twang to it.
Recently drunk the Landlord and felt that this is a similar pint but with the volume turned up to 11, better taste, depth and quality – a better pint all round. Definitely a good pint to seek and consume.
