Birra Moretti says…
Birra Moretti is a quality beer made in the traditional way. It is the result of a production process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859.
The best raw materials are used to make Birra Moretti, as well as a special blend of high quality hops that gives it a unique taste and fragrance, enhancing its perfectly balanced bitter taste.
It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing.
Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends.
Even though it is National Lager Day today, this is a bit of a turn up for the books for me, a lager. Well if truth be told I was in a rush and had to stop at a convenience store and they had no ale. Next best thing was cider or lager.
As everyone knows cider is a fruit based drink – wine or a fruit based drink are for the ladies. So lager it is. On the plus side it comes in a 660ml bottle, so up yours crappy ale in your 330ml bottles, two for the price of one here. Ale companies should take note.
Well, as far as lager goes this is a very pleasant bottle, one that I wholeheartedly recommend. Good depth of taste, not too gassy, not too light in taste, doesn’t taste like piss water and a good session drink.
If you’re a lager drinker, try this as your first foray into a wider world of alcoholic beverages knocking on the door of real ale, you won’t be disappointed.
