Complex & refreshing with a light citrus tang & lingering hoppy aftertaste. Suitable for vegetarians.
This exquisitely smooth ale boasts a light malty flavour and is brewed with locally grown hops and chalk filtered mineral water drawn from the well of Britain’s oldest brewer.
Asda branded IPA brewed again by Shepherd Neame, as is Gentleman Jack which we reviewed previously. This one is described as complex and refreshing with a light citrus tang and lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Very fresh initial taste with a hint of limes, again a little non descript flavour wise, could do with a bit more depth and tastes again like a supermarket budget with the flavours reined in.
Not great and I am beginning to think that less care has been given with these Asda beers, as I could only find three bottles on the shelf (opposed to six in Sainsbury’s) and all three have been brewed by Shepherd Neame – who have clearly been told to stick to a very tight budget.
