Double Dragon has an ABV of 4.2%. It is a full drinking, premium Welsh Ale, which is malty and subtly hopped. Double Dragon has a rich colour and smooth balanced character. This deep copper red ale has a tangy red fruit flavour with nutty, toffee overtones.
Double Dragon, brewed since 1878 and is The National Ale of Wales according to the bottle, with Llanelli, Wales at the top here we have a brewery who are clearly proud of their heritage and why not.
The colour is spot on as described, this is a bit tangy as promised too, not a deep amount of flavours with definite subtle fruity tones. Malty, fruity and smooth is the 3 words I’d use to describe this. A bit too bitter and tangy for my tastebuds.
