A refreshing, pale golden pilsener with a clean taste perfectly balanced with hints of barley malt, subtle bottom fermenting yeast tones and mild hoppy bitterness.
Found this German beer in Tesco, not much detail on the bottle as this is an authentically brewed lager from Germany, and as such most of the wording on the bottle is in German.
I did find the ingredients in English though and they are: water, barley, malt, hop & hop extract, which says this is pretty pure with no added chemicals to it.
A very light lager in appearance, this has a smell thats similar to a European pilsner style lager, a gentle fizz and with a decent size head. The taste is that of a pilsner, slight bubble to the taste and does taste very fresh, easy to drink and best served chilled in the sunshine.
At 4.8% this is on the safe side for a German pilsner, a German session beer if you like, I like the fizz to it as it enhances the flavours, I kind of expect a good benchmark from a German brewed beer and this is a good benchmark. Good solid lager, which gets my approval.
