Review by Andy
Tart gooseberry and soft fruit on the nose. Gooseberries and fruit to taste before an intense bitterness as sharp as a Macaw’s screech.
I’ve often seen this beer in Tesco but for some reason have never tried it, time to put that right.
Decent colour, with a nice size head. This has a fruity aroma to it. Good flavours to this, fruity initial hit, giving way to a bitter, gooseberry finish.
To sum this up, I’d describe this as a very decent ale, slightly fruity, full of flavour, an all round good beer – which is very drinkable.
