A delicious and refreshing golden ale, ideal for summer drinking. Brewed using the finest English malt with the perfect combination of choicest First Gold, Hersbrucker and Styrian Goldings hops, this ale has a zesty aroma and notes of citrus peel complimented by a bitter twist on the finish.
Tasted by customers on the lid, not sure how this is possible to state before it’s in the shops, you’d have to sell it, then recall it just to change the caps, otherwise it’d be drunk by Sainsbury’s employees before giving it the green light for mass production, bit of an oxymoron if you ask me.
Anyway I dug this out of my local shop and thought to myself what better drink to sample on a beautiful British summer’s day (raining) with promise of it being ideal summer drinking I thought I’d give it a whirl.
Hints of fruit in the aroma, nice golden colour, light hint of fruit in the initial taste followed by a more prominent bitter after taste, which belies its colour and summer Ale label, in fact summer Bitter would be more apt.
